What is Chiropractic care?
Let's Talk Subluxation

Chiropractic works with the nervous system to recapture the body's optimal function. It is
about function, not just about pain relief. The nervous system is the body's powerhouse and
communicator; its job is to control every function of every cell in the body at any given time.
Chiropractors address the cause of a condition, and not merely its symptoms, by locating
and correcting a serious condition called subluxation.

A subluxation occurs when a spinal bone shifts out of place, causing harmful stress on the nervous system and impairing the body's function and communication. To restore clear communication within the nervous system, just as you would move out of a dead zone to get a better signal, the misaligned spinal bone must be adjusted back into its proper position. This adjustment removes the stress from the nervous system, allowing the body's communication pathways to function correctly once again.

Gonstead Chiropractic Adjusting Method
What you can expect.

The Gonstead Chiropractic Adjusting Method is designed for all ages, from infancy to the elderly, due to its gentle, safe, and specific hands-on technique. At LFCC, we always use this highly specific method, which is rare, especially with a female Gonstead doctor. Dr. Lawson has dedicated over 500 hours of advanced Gonstead training to perfect her skills. Despite its difficulty, which deters many, the Gonstead system is invaluable for achieving the fastest and best results for patients of all ages.

The results are maximized due to analyzing the entire spine as a whole to find the single
bone/vertebrae needed to be adjusted and to adjust that bone and that bone only through a
specific line of drive. The Gonstead System produces rapid results due to it's specificity and
art form of a hand adjustment. The adjustments are of low amplitude and high velocity with
no rotational forces driven into the body, which allows for a safe, gentle, and effective
adjustment.

Our approach to health is through a vitalistic mentality, whereby the human body has an inborn ability to heal itself. We concentrate on the body in its entirety, not just on its symptoms. By removing the nervous system’s interference by adjusting the spine, we are better able to help our patients achieve optimal levels of health and wellness.
