WHAT IS GONSTEAD?

Gonstead is a unique chiropractic system; it is thorough, complete, and specific in analyzing and adjusting the spine. Dr. Lawson takes full spine

X-rays evaluate the entire spine for vertebral subluxations, which are spinal misalignments that produce nerve pressure. As a Gonstead Chiropractor, Dr. Lawson analyzes the spine by Visualization, a Nervoscope, a scope that reads the temperature in the spine to show signs of swelling, feeling, and motioning the entire spine, and the use of X-rays for every visit. Hands-on adjustments are given and are specific, precise, and accurate while being gentle and safe at the same time. They address ONLY the problem areas and generate quicker and lasting results.

Age-Related Care: Why Do I Need Care?

Infancy: Even before infancy, in the mother’s womb the developing spinal column has stress. The mother’s activities, pressure within the womb, and the mother’s neurological dysfunctions. A normal vaginal labor is the safest, but still very traumatic.

Childhood: The point of life where falls and accidents can leave lasting consequences. Bumps and falls are part of learning to crawl and walk. Infants and young children cannot express themselves to adults when they are in pain or feel joint restrictions beyond crying. A maximum functioning nervous system is VITAL in infants and children for development, boosting immunity, and preventative wellness for later on in life.

Adult: The signs/symptoms of childhood injuries surface if they have not been resolved. Stress is at its highest. Aches and pains from daily activities develop. Emotional and chemical stress affect the body just as much as physical stress. A fast-paced lifestyle, with added stress, leads to stress-related disorders of muscle, nerve, and joint dysfunction.

Elderly: The “wear and tear” age. The quality of life is depleting. Conditions of arthritis,
decreased range of motion, and fatigue are irreversible. Chiropractic care for the elderly is beneficial for managing the conditions only. Managing the spine by removing the restriction from joints to keep them functioning at their best and letting the individual experience a better quality of life. It is important to get your spine checked before the symptoms are irreversible.
